Bio

Sara is the Chief Operating Officer for Bushido Billing and married to a Chiropractor. While her husband was in school, Sara managed a busy Chiropractic office and learned all things insurance billing. Upon leaving, Sara started her own small billing practice to avoid the frustrations that other offices were facing with the traditional billing companies. She also did billing and management duties for her husbands practice. In 2021 Sara stumbled across Bushido Billing and joined them after learning how their ethics and practices aligned with those of an actual clinic owner!

In her spare time, Sara enjoys spending time with her 2 kids, husband, and 2 dogs, traveling, kayaking, shooting trap, and going fishing. With the nickname "Unicorn" she finds enjoyment in taking on tasks that she either does or does not know how to do. The challenge that insurance billing brings provides excitement to Sara as her favorite task is to clean up messy accounts. Michael is a Team Lead with Bushido Billing! He is a dedicated healthcare professional with over a decade of experience in the medical field. He has honed his skills across various departments, including insurance, medical records, billing, and payments. His most recent tenure at a chiropractic multispecialty company with twenty-two clinics has equipped him with a comprehensive understanding of the healthcare industry.

At home, Michael is a proud dog parent to Tater and Teddy, two adorable dachshunds who keep him company. Whether it's a thrilling horror movie, an enlightening documentary, or a captivating reality show, he enjoys unwinding with a good film.

When Michael is not immersed in the world of medicine, he finds solace in the digital realm, indulging in his passion for video games. Although gaming time is limited, it remains a cherished hobby.

Bio

Katie is Team Lead here at Bushido Billing. She is located about 20 miles south of Pittsburgh, PA. She lives the busy mom life with a daughter who plays softball and is on a swim team. She has two sons that wrestle and play baseball and soccer. She spends lots of time with her kids at their sports, but in her free time she enjoys kayaking and crocheting.

She is a self-taught biller with over 8 years of experience in the field. Before having kids, she worked as a Radiologic Technologist (x-ray tech). She worked in a level 1 trauma center in Pittsburgh for 6 years!

One of her nicknames is Mother Kate because she was always the mother hen of her friends growing up. Her biggest pet peeve is when people's actions do not match their words. What she loves most about her job is the flexibility that she has to be able to attend all of her kid's events.

Janie is a Quality Assurance Lead here at Bushido Billing! With over 13 years of experience in healthcare administration, Janie has honed her skills in physical therapy and chiropractic billing. Her journey began as a CNA, where she developed a deep appreciation for patient care. However, Janie discovered her true calling in the administrative side of healthcare, where she could leverage her organizational talents and analytical skills to ensure efficient operations.

Janie thrives on the intellectual challenge of navigating complex claims and regulations. Each billing scenario presents a unique puzzle that she approaches with meticulous attention to detail, problem-solving acumen, and a touch of creativity. The satisfaction of ensuring both patient satisfaction and operational efficiency is immensely fulfilling.

Outside of work, Janie is a self-proclaimed "organizing queen" with a love for planning and prioritizing tasks. She finds joy in exploring the world of visual arts, whether sketching on her iPad or crafting new clipart.

Brooke is a Billing Specialist here at Bushido Billing! Brooke is a highly motivated and results-oriented billing professional with a strong work ethic and a passion for accuracy and efficiency. This is her first billing position since achieving her certification, and she is thrilled to embark on this exciting new chapter in her career.

Having successfully navigated the challenges of remote work for the past two years, Brooke is a confident and independent professional with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. She is eager to learn and grow within a collaborative environment, and she believes her dedication and positive attitude will make her a valuable asset to The Bushido team.

In her free time, Brooke enjoys spending time with her husband and their five beloved dogs. They are avid movie enthusiasts and dream of one day traveling the country in an RV with their furry companions.

Michelle is a Client Coordinator for Bushido Billing. She knows multiple softwares but is known to be our Katana Specialist. She brings years of experience from working in a busy dental office and assisting with both billing and front desk duties. Since then, she was a stay-at-home parent for 6 years with her 4 children. She is definitely your go-to person for multitasking and organization!

In the little free time Michelle has outside of attending games for her 3 kids' travel sports, she also enjoys spending time with her family and tending to her growing plant collection. Michelle enjoys knowing that she is providing a valuable service to clinics and taking some of the stress that can sometimes come along with billing and insurance, off of the clinic's plate. With years of experience in customer service across various industries, including food, casino, and medical offices, she brings a wealth of versatility, strong problem-solving skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional service.Her most valuable learning experience came from raising six kids at home for 13 years, where she perfected her multitasking skills. Jennifer takes pride in accomplishing tasks like posting checks and resolving billing issues and is excited to continue learning and growing with the team.

Outside of work, Jennifer enjoys time with her large family, especially on their pontoon boat, swimming, fishing, and relaxing. She’s also a book lover and dog mom. Fun fact: her middle name is Renee, and as a kid, her aunt gave her a nickname that’s stuck ever since.
